Portillos is a Chicago Classic. Known for their great Italian beef, cakes, shakes, salads and chargrilled burgers. But they definitely have one of the best dawgs in Chicago.
RATING: I would rate this a 8.8 outta 10. We love the dawgs and what makes it even better is the ability to watch a master dawg maker make your dawg right in front of you. It is truly a wonder.
If you're looking for some great, quick food. Here's your spot. Hot dogs, hamburgers, gyros, and so much more. They even have bottles of Green River. Not to mention the guys who work there are excellent. I have never gotten an incorrect order, and am always greeted with friendly service when I'm paying. I know I'm not the only one who loves the place, as there is never a time when you find the place empty. Well, except when they are closed. But overall, great food, great service, just a great spot.

It's really good, addition of girlled onions is wondeful. Also love the polish sausage, very unique in the way they're grilled/boiled. Not 100% authentic hot dogs, but they count as the one exception. We rate it 9.2/10
